Inside lies the breathtaking Hall of a Thousand Pillars, where each intricately carved pillar tells a story of devotion and artistry. The sacred Golden Lotus Tank within the temple is believed to be where Meenakshi herself bathed before her divine wedding.

According to legend, Princess Meenakshi was born with three breasts, and it was foretold that the extra breast would disappear when she met her destined husband. The prophecy came true when she met Lord Shiva, who appeared as Sundareswarar. Their celestial wedding is the spiritual heart of the temple, symbolizing divine love and power.
